CONCRETE BREAKS

For Concrete Breaks, visual art and dance are first and foremost tools of resistance—methods through which we can exercise community resilience and our right to free expression amidst coordinated efforts to divide and pacify us. Restoring rave culture to its defiant roots matters now more than ever. After a string of triumphant events merging cutting-edge UK bass music with communal art exhibitions, the collective has established itself as a rising force in both Montreal and Toronto’s rave scenes. Through the cultivation of community involvement and multimedia art, Concrete Breaks strives to create distinctively interactive and immersive experiences on the dance floor and beyond. Anticipation is high for their takeover of OAP, as a one-of-a-kind face-to-face DJ set is slated to grace the lower field on April 29.
