About OAP

Twice every year, McGill campus’s Lower West Field transforms into OAP: an open air pub, music festival and barbecue. OAP is run entirely by student volunteers, with all profits going back to the McGill Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) and to the President’s Choice Children’s Charity.

OAP began in 1987, when engineering students began to bring drinks and barbecues to the Three Bares park. It has grown to a pretty damn big event that brings in thousands of patrons and has lovingly been dubbed “The Best Place on Earth”.

OAP runs for two weeks in the fall, from the last week of summer to the first week of school. We also run OAP lite - a shorter version of OAP - at the end of April every year. We would love to see you there!
